Iliamna Fish Co. is a family-owned cooperative that has been fishing together on the Bering Sea in Bristol Bay, Alaska for three generations since 1946. Their fish can also be found at prestigious restaurants such as Blue Hill a Stone Barns.
Biologists monitor streams to assure that salmon is not over fished and no fishing is allowed until the Dept. of Fish and Game has determined that sufficient numbers of fish have escaped to their natal rivers, streams and lake to spawn. Their fish are not roughly-harvested with industrial machinery but rather caught by hand to preserve the quality of the salmon. In their philosophy, fish come first.
