How Do Subscriptions Work?
Kumquats are usually only found in Florida, California or overseas and it's extremely rare to find these adorable citrus grown in the NorthEast. We were even shocked to find organic kumquats grown in New Jersey in a greenhouse and we are so excited to bring you this tiny citrus straight from the farm.
Fukushu kumquats are a rare variety we've never seen before - it's more plump and sweeter than the average kind you see. The peel and flesh are edible and can be washed and enjoyed whole as a snack. Fukushu kumquats can also be sliced and tossed into salads, chopped into salsa, pickled to develop a tangy, subtly sweet flavor and pair well with chicken and pork. Or add this organic citrus to any Local Roots cheese paired with Local Roots honey and chocolate. Fukushu kumquats will add a punch of vitamins and tangy flavor to every bite!
