From Soil to City

Our CSA

The Local Roots CSA brings your weekly groceries all from local, sustainable farms and producers right to your neighborhood. Your produce is grown with love and harvested the day before so it’s packed with flavor and nutrients. We’ve modernized the CSA model to better fit the needs of New Yorkers and our local farmers. You probably don’t need us to convince you, but here are Five Reasons to Join a CSA – just in case. Place your order for the Local Roots CSA here.

The Basics

CSA, which stands for Community Supported Agriculture, enables members to have access to fresh produce grown by a local farmer. CSA members purchase a “share” of produce from a local farm before the harvest season. Shares of produce are brought to the same site for members to pick up each week. By joining a CSA, members support small local farmers, learn what foods are in season in the Northeast, discover new varieties of produce, try out new recipes, eat healthier, and reconnect with their food.

Signing up for the Local Roots CSA is easy. Simply choose from a variety of local and small batch foods on our website for the 12 week season, select a pick up location or home delivery, and then bring home your bounty of organic produce and try a new or familiar recipe. Be sure to share the meals you make with us!
