CSA in the Classroom

CSA in the Classroom is a series of lessons about local agriculture explored through classroom time and real-life experiences.  Students learn the distinction between local and imported foods, the nutritional value of various types of seasonal foods, how to compost, and more in addition to gaining career-oriented skills by assisting us in the management of a CSA.

Current Program:

This summer, we will be offering food and farming education for campers at the Alamander Day Camp at the Brooklyn Free School in Fort Greene. We hope you can join us for this CSA season as we empower youth through the power of local food!

The Fort Green CSA will take place at Alamander Day Camp located at 372 Clinton Ave. CSA distribution is on Thursdays from 3:00-5:30 and runs from June 20 – August 29th. Tell your Fort Greene family and friends!  You can sign up on our website.
