We seek to grow Local Roots NYC as a mindful business that continues to create community around local food through our network of markets while placing value on authenticity and responsible stewardship – not just of our local farmland but also of our city landscape. Our work is not purely an exchange of commerce but a network of relationships that help build a world that makes more sense to us: one where neighbors are thoughtful towards each other, we spend time with our friends over a homemade meal, and we know our farmers and food producers beyond just their name and brand to their passions and interests as individuals. Though a small organization, we’ve got big dreams we hope you can help us reach.
We welcome all kinds of skills to contribute to the work we do – only through communal efforts can we build this beautiful, virtuous cycle of Soil to City.
