From Soil to City

We are proud to partner with Gimme! Coffee to bring our CSA members sustainably produced coffee from farmers we trust. Gimme! Coffee’s long-lasting relationships with all of their coffee farmers guarantee the highest quality coffee for customers and fair prices for farmers. Take a look below at the coffees that our members will be enjoying next week!

beans for Honduras Capucas Meija Familia

Honduras Capucas Mejia Familia: vanilla nougat, tangerine, comforting milk chocolate; organic, fairly traded
This is our third year working with Angel, and our second year working with his sister Marta. Once again, we have combined their coffees to create this family blend featuring comforting vanilla and chocolate, stone fruit and a clean, silky body.

The Pereira Family

Brazil Carmo de Minas: buttery, toffee-coated almonds, first bite of cherry pie; shade grown
Located in the mountains of the Carmo de Minas region, Fazenda Santa Ines spans over 200 hectares in lush mountain soil. The Pereira family took over the farm in 1979, implementing technological improvements, along with hiring professionals to help develop improvements in processing and harvesting practices, which brought a massive increase in quality. In 2005, Fazenda Santa Ines won the Brazil Cup of Excellence with a record breaking score. We’re excited to feature their coffee for the second year in a row.

beans for Darkness Blend

Darkness Blend: silky, bittersweet cocoa, smoldering finish; shade grown
As Darkness falls across the land, grab a cup of coffee that matches your mood. With toasted sugars and brownie sweetness, our darkest blend is roasted through second crack, resulting in a silky, heavy mouthfeel that balances the bitter cocoa finish.
